BAHA'IS ARRESTED IN MAY 2008
Seven members of the national coordinating group of the Baha’is were arrested in Tehran and Mashhad by the Ministry of Intelligence office. Six members, Mrs Fariba Kamalabadi, Mr Jamaloddin Khanjani, Mr Afif Naeimi, Mr Saeid Rezaie, Mr Behrouz Tavakkoli, and Mr Vahid Tizfahm, were arrested and taken to the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran on Wednesday, 14 May 2008, and the seventh member Mrs Mahvash Sabet was arrested in Mashhad on Wednesday, 5 March 2008. The trial of this group began in six brief sessions on 12 January 2010 after they had been incarcerated without charge for 20 months and ended on 14 June. They have each received jail sentences of 20 years on Sunday 8 August 2010. The Baha'i International Community has learned that the lawyers representing the seven were informed orally on Wednesday, 15 September 2010 that the 20-year jail terms have now been changed to 10 years.

هفت عضو گروه هماهنگ کننده جامعه بهائیان در طهران و مشهد توسط ماموران امنیتی بازداشت شدند٠ شش عضو این گروه خانم فريبا كمال آبادى، آقاى جمال الدين خانجانى، آقاى عفيف نعيمى، آقاى سعيد رضائى، آقاى بهروز توكلى و آقاى وحيد تيزفهم روز چهارشنبه ٢٥ اردیبهشت ١٣٨٧ در طهران دستگیر و به زندان مشهور اوین منتقل شدند٠ هفتمین عضو خانم مهوش ثابت روز چهارشنبه ١٥ اسفند ١٣٨٦ درمشهد بازداشت شده بود٠ محاکمۂ این گروه در شش جلسۂ کوتاه از روز ۲۲ دی ۱۳۸۸، پس از بيست ماه بازداشت بدون اتهام آغاز شد و در تاريخ ۲۴ خرداد ۱۳۸۹ به پايان رسيد. هر یک از آنها در روز یکشنبه ١٧ مرداد ١٣٨٩ حکم بیست سال حبس را دریافت کردند. جامعه جهانی بهائی مطلع شده است که روز چهار شنبه ٢٤ شهریور ١٣٨٩ به وکلای اين هفت نفر به طور شفاهی گفته شده احکام زندان آنها از بيست سال به ده سال کاهش يافته است.
این هفت نفر در حال حاظر در زندان هستند.
